Innocent Destruction

Ripping through rows upon rows of columns,
all dancing with a little light,
soon the wind will snuff them out,
ending the flame's tiny plight.

The fire blinks out with a smoky plume,
the columns are ripped out of the ground.
The columns, coated with creamy delight,
removed while cheering abounds.

Then splitting apart and moving the ground,
the pieces are torn apart.
Children devour, with joyous cheers,
what once was a piece of art.
